Our Program

Montessori Education

Welcome to Sankofa Learning Center, where we nurture children through a culturally affirming Montessori approach. Our program is designed to celebrate cultural identity, foster a love for nature, and provide a holistic Montessori education. Our Montessori approach emphasizes self-directed learning, hands-on experiences, and individualized education. We create a prepared environment where children can explore at their own pace, guided by their natural curiosity. With a focus on practical life skills, sensory activities, and academic learning, we support each child’s unique developmental journey.

Emphasis on Self Love and Identity

At Sankofa, we believe that every child should feel proud of their heritage and identity. Our curriculum is enriched with African cultural traditions and history, empowering children to develop a strong sense of self and community. We celebrate differences and encourage students to explore their roots, fostering a deep connection to their culture.

Outdoor Learning

We understand the profound benefits of outdoor learning for children’s development. Our program integrates nature-based activities, allowing children to engage with the natural world. From exploring local parks to hands-on gardening projects, we provide opportunities for children to learn through play, curiosity, and discovery in outdoor environments.

Join us at Sankofa Learning Center, where we honor the past, embrace the present, and inspire the future through education that celebrates identity, outdoor exploration, and the Montessori philosophy.
